Positions available:

1st shift position

6 am to 4 pm, Monday – Thursday

Our CNC Swiss Programmer / Set Up team members are tasked to work closely with the Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Production Teams related to New Parts / Projects and Existing Job workflow and Improvements. Additional responsibilities include training others to maintain Quality and Production requirements. This includes but is not limited to, meeting or exceeding customer requirements, meeting production rate, monitoring parts by completing first article and in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, gage pins, thread gages, drop indicators and vision and probing measuring equipment.

CNC Swiss Programmer / Set Up Essential Job Functions

  • Program New Jobs (PartMaker Software).
  • Set Up Jobs to Meet production requirements.
  • Able to effectively meet timelines and deadlines.
  • Optimize Existing Jobs.
  • Effectively use measuring equipment to verify part quality acceptance.
  • Document daily activities through established ERP system.
  • Tooling and material management.
  • Perform daily maintenance and cleaning activities.

CNC Swiss Programmer / Set Up Minimum Requirement & Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years’ Swiss Machining with Programming Experience
  • Proficient Blueprint Reading and knowledge of GD&T
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with teammates and Management.
  • Must be comfortable working with small close tolerance parts as well as using a Microscopes for visual inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail.

1st shift position

Our CNC Mill and Wire EDM Programming team members are tasked to work closely with the Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Production Teams related to New Parts / Projects and Existing Job workflow and Improvements. Additional responsibilities include training others to maintain Quality and Production requirements. This includes but is not limited to, meeting or exceeding customer requirements, meeting production rate, monitoring parts by completing first article and in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, gage pins, thread gages, drop indicators and vision and probing measuring equipment.
We currently utilize PowerMILL and Bobcat software, and have a number of Haas VMC’s, which are four and five Axis capable, Kitamura HMC and an AMSTech Wire EDM Machine.

Responsibilities

  • Improve manufacturing processes by analyzing the current state and finding opportunities for improvements by changing tooling and cutting processes to decrease product cost and cost related to handling, quality and supply chain.
  • Operate, setup, and perform complex programming on CNC mills.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them to customer requirements.
  • Work together with engineers to achieve customer requirements and solve any problems that may arise.
  • Required to complete prototype and one-off parts.
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks on machine as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Lean and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from two-year college or equivalent in machining and programming preferred.
  • Minimum four years related manufacturing and programming preferred.
  • Self-starter
  • Experience programming CNC code on software like PowerMill or Mastercam and Bobcat
  • Ability to run Wire EDM and CNC machines (vertical and horizontal mills); as well as ability to read G and M code.
  • Ability to read manufacturing prints (Dimensioning and geometric constraints)
  • Experience with measuring tools (Calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks, pins, CMM, and vision systems)
  • Basic understanding of cutting tool designs and styles used in milling is required.
  • Software requirements: Microsoft Office, Solidworks, Powermill, Mastercam, Bobcat, plus experience with ERP systems
